KERMACO WORKSHOP FAQ
HOW ARE THE WORKSHOPS RUN?
The workshops are one-on-one online connections via Google Hangouts, Skype or GoToMeeting. Once you have registered for the workshop, you will receive a confirmation email and we will schedule the first meeting. Initially you send a link to your portfolio or current work you want to discuss.
HOW IS THE THREE HOUR WORKSHOP SCHEDULED?
Both the Beginner and Advanced level three-hour workshops are scheduled over three weeks. A sample schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: first 1-hour video consultation / assignment given (due by week 2)
- Week 2: submit assignment and receive feedback and instruction for next steps via email
- Week 3: second 1-hour video consultation / review assignment / discuss further questions and issues
DOES IT MATTER IF I HAVE A MAC OR PC?
It does not matter what kind of computer you are using, as long as you have a decent internet connection and your computer is capable of running ZBrush or Photoshop. You will at least need a microphone for a voice conversation, or a webcam to do a video call.
WHAT PROGRAMS ARE NEEDED?
Students are welcome to use any programs they want to further their career with. However, feedback and critiques will be done in ZBrush, Photoshop and various 3-D Packages. The only thing that is required is a decent internet connection in order to meet for class sessions.
WHAT LEVEL OF SKILL IS REQUIRED?
All Levels are accepted. Basic knowledge of Photoshop ZBrush or Maya is the biggest thing we recommend students have. If you are still unsure which workshop is right for you, you can always email us your work at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help figure out the best fit.
If you have any other questions about the workshops please email me.
